Once your video is uploaded, choose between two generation modes in the toolbar:

You choose one mode per generation. Smart Audio and Music are not combined in a single pass.
The Describe the desired sound effect field is optional but useful. Try phrases like "crowd cheering stadium," "tense cinematic strings," or "gentle rain ambient" to steer the output. Leaving it blank lets the AI decide based purely on visuals.
Use the volume slider to control how loud the generated audio sits against your original track. If your video has dialogue, start around 25–35%. For silent footage, 70–80% often works better.
Generate AI Sound Effects Matched to Footage
Click Generate. Noiz AI analyzes your video's visual content — motion, scene type, energy level — and generates audio that matches. You'll see a progress message while it works.
If the result doesn't hit the mark, use Retry to regenerate or Re-edit to go back and change the settings.
Download AI Sound Effects as Video or Stems
When generation is complete, your video appears with the new audio track applied. Press play to preview how the AI-matched sound sits against the footage.

Improve AI Sound Effects for Video Results
Trim before uploading. If your clip has a long intro or outro, cut to the 15-second core segment that needs sound. A focused scene produces a more focused result.
Use the description box. Even a short mood phrase — "epic cinematic," "playful upbeat," "dark suspense" — anchors the output when visuals alone are ambiguous.
Pick the right mode. Choosing Music when you need precise SFX — or Smart Audio when you need a score — is the most common reason results feel wrong. Retry with the other mode before changing your source video.
Match volume to your footage. Dialogue-heavy clips need lower generated volume. Silent B-roll can take a louder mix.
Use Stems in your NLE. If you edit in Premiere or DaVinci, download the audio stem and place it on your timeline for manual level control rather than accepting the baked-in mix.
Upload a 15-second test clip first, generate once in each mode, and compare before batching your full session.
